TikTok Transparency and Accountability Center
TikTok partnered with Gumband to create interactive exhibits for their first-ever Transparency and Accountability Center.
Based in Los Angeles, the space invites visitors to see how teams at TikTok go about the day-to-day work of moderating content on the platform, protecting users’ privacy, and securing the app.
Since the Los Angeles space went live, we’ve brought several other locations online, including Dublin, Singapore, and Washington, D.C.
Core Services
Health
Gumband monitors each exhibit for operability and connectivity, and offers debugging logs and real-time hardware testing to help with troubleshooting. If a problem occurs, operators can view real-time statuses or restart any exhibit at any time, from anywhere.
Analytics
Gumband tracks guest engagement with each exhibit, whether that be video completes, content moderation success, or simple swipes and impressions. This data can be used to inform future content decisions.
Content
Using an integrated CMS, operators can upload files, change copy, and build playlists with a mix of videos and images. These playlists can be refreshed or remixed, remotely, at any time.
